i was fitting my coilovers today & was told that to get the rear shocks out i had to remove the stabilizer bar link (see pic.)... well i found out that i didnt have to, but that was after trying... the nut came half way off the bolt & then wouldnt go any further but it wouldnt go back either :(

 

does anyone have this part spare from breaking a/their supe?

you should be able to retighten it, is the whole thing just turning ? have you tryed holding the ball joint bit with a spanner as it does have a cut/recess on the inner side.

 

cheers mate, i didnt spot that...

 

i tried an allen key in the front but it ended up rounding off because the bolt was too tight.

 

i'll give that a go though :thumbs:

The things you pointed to buddy. They come off the anti-roll bar.

 

You have 2 on the front and 2 on the rear. If you have put new suspension on its basically just another thing to tick off the list. I'll be getting a full set soon enough as i just did mine too :)

oh yeh, i saw your thread about coilovers.... how are those megan ones? they look nice :thumbs:

 

think i will replace them then.... maybe try and tighten it until i can get hold of new ones
