Going to NY

Hey everyone,

 

Going to new york in october for my honeymoon this year. Booking it tonight. anyone been, what are your general thoughts, places to see? Hopefully going to stay in the paramount which is bang in times square. Anyone stayed there? Really looking forward to it, oh yeah, and the wedding of course. Unfortunally the fiance dosnt want to arrive in my supra!! But weve have a friend who has an 1934 austin, fully restored, looks amazing. It has a basket on the back instead of a boot!!

I've been, I went in prorper winter, brrr. October might still be quite nice.

 

There are all the obvious touristy things like empire state building & central park but also visit Macys and Bloomingdales etc just for the experience. There are loads of cool shops and if you can find it there is an amazing ice cream place... I can't remember where though, really helpful... somewhere in the main area near times square.

 

I'd like to go back actually, just maybe when it's not -100000 degrees next time!

If you and the new missus fall out... look for a place called Flashdance (I believe it was on 5th Avenue)

 

NY is a lovely place, plenty to do. I loved it over there.
