MRX
I have purchased an Envy RSR exhaust and what an exhaust it is..! Top service from the Envy chaps as always, ordered the thing Tuesday morning and it was waiting for me when I got home from work on Wednseday . It looks extremely well made and the pipe work is nothing short of awesome, absolutely monster pipe! The problems began when I tried to take the old exhaust off. The standard exhaust currently on the car looks as though it’s been on there for the 15 years the car has been in existence. All the nuts/bolts have rusted up big time, with no sign of any thread and the exhaust/decat looks as though I could poke my finger through them. So my plan is now to stop at an ATS/Quick fit on the way home and get them to torch off the bolts top and bottom of first cat and put fresh bolts in. Then when I get home I can easily remove the exhaust/second cat and fit the new exhaust/2nd decat and next month when I get some more cash I can replace easily replace the first cat. My question is this: If I put the new exhaust/2nd decat on and leave the first cat in place will the car be ok in terms of boost, fueling etc? everything else on the car is completely standard. Next month I plan to upgrade 1st cat/pump/RR/plugs etc
jamesmark
You will be fine if 1st cat is still in place.
