And what do people think of the front lights? I dont know this car prsonally but there is a baby blue MR2 which was at japfest and goes to the reading meet alot and looks identical to that MR2 (except for the colour of course ) Those healights are from a new type Celica aswell... michael
The blue one is a more complete package IMO but that looks "OK" - still a lot of cash for a rev 1 though IMO.
Pot
I don't know anything about that car, but from the front I like the lights, not too sure from the side when I see the bulges, but it certainly makes the front end seem more modern (And different) (I also know the baby blue one SilverSoop mentioned, it was in a generic Max Power style magazine a few months ago, he'd certainly spent a lot of cash on it, looked nice - Only let down by their Tim Westwood style of writing)

Yeah I know, just couldn't decide if I liked them or not, I think I prefer the standard MR2 lights, with a 'lazy eye' kit, I am thinking of getting a T-bar turbo just for the summer untill I get my GZ aero next year!! Never even driven an MR2 before though!

Ah ok, I don't know alot about MR2's to be honest, but am certainly considering one just for the summer, budget of around 5k, has to be a T-bar and a turbo would be nice! Scott
You can buy mine if you like There was a guy on imoc that did that to the front of his car. I'm positive he was the first in the UK but IIRC he finished the car in Red. Looks nice, i would be looking to knock 1k off of that car though regardless of mods. Absolute MAX 4.8k. Make him an offer

jamesmark
What about RobSheffields MR2? Cheap(ish) enough and could be a good base car. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=143219
Scott
The red one is now the blue one. Ahh that will be it then. IIRC he had a few teething problems but he got there in the end. Although not to everyones taste (including mine) i think the effort has to be appreciated. Any pics of it now Michael?

Tell your mates i said they must drive like twats then. The only time they are hairy is right on the limit and letting off or braking. Check the supra forums for burst bumpers, wheels etc over winter periods and snow and check the mr2 forums They are very very competent cars if driven properly. Trouble is most people think they are MUCH better drivers than they actually are. Luckily i don't anymore and my wife, who owns the MR2 now, doesn't either. And the other who is a ministry of defence policeman, lost it on a gentle right hand bend somehow?!
Scott
Tell him he let off the accelerator while he was going round the corner. He must have been going a little fast and got scared. Thats one of the main problems with the MR2's handling. Most car's turn in when you let off. The MR2 has LOADS of lift off oversteer. A lesson i learned the hard way
Gaz6002
I know the owner of the blue one... he's spent loads on it to get it looking like that. The orange one doesn't look quite as good IMO and I'd say it's worth £4.5-5k

JamesC
I had a rev3 MR2 and i didn't think it was that twitchy IMHO, although i couldn't get it off the drive in the snow, but the Supra can. I thought it would have been the other way round with the MR2 having more weight above the rear wheels? hmm And why does everyone seem to be painting their cars orange? Is it only me that doesn't like orange cars?

Gazboy
You need to be smooth with a MR2. If you have your head scewed on it'll reward you, if you're a tw*t it'll kill you. Likewise I was surprised about the amount of crashes on this forum when I came here from IMOC.
