NeoMagic
Hey guys, well I’ve had my N/A Manual for a good couple or three weeks now. I have had some small problems with it that I thought nothing of, basically the fuel economy is atrocious I’m getting around 50 – 60 miles out of £30 which really can’t be right. I have replaced both O2’s too no avail, however I did snap off a stud in the manifold on both sensor mounts so they are both only held in with one bolt. One of which is blowing ever so slightly (The thought just cropped up in my mind that the sensor could be thrown out by that). My air filter HKS jobbie is filthy and I will be cleaning it this weekend, but it still flows fine and even if it is effecting things you’d not imagine that it would be that dramatic. The guy who owned it prior to me was a mechanic and religiously changed the oil and serviced it etc, however he rarely used it so I don’t think he noticed how bad the fuel was. Help! Whitesupraboy2
Have you tried an ECU reset at all? the blowing around the 02 sensors cannot be good though.
NeoMagic
I haven't actually, yeah I'm going to try and rectify that this weekend. What's the procedure to reset the ECU, battery disconnect for a while?
Whitesupraboy2
you can do a battery disconnect or pull the 2 EFI fuses in the engine bay. TBH with air leaking in (or out) around the sensor I would expect it to be over fuelling slightly. Have you take a look at 1 plug to see how itlooks? it can be a pain to change all 6 (pain as in time consuming) so a quick check of the first one may give you an idea of their condition. NeoMagic
I haven't looked at the plugs yet either, thanks for all your suggestions I appreciate it. You live local don't you?
