twijesiri
Hi All So the wife decied to change our curtains, and as i was taking them down i thought these would look great covering my dash. so last weekend i cut them down and had a go at retriming the dash myself. I dont think it turned out to bad, and as like everybody I am a bit short of cash; i am very pleased that its the cheapest mod i have any done. anyway just wanted to sahre that. AndrewOW
That was a very small curtain. Do you live in a shed or something?! Looks like a good idea, but I'll reserve judgement until its finished.
turbonut
Looking good If the fabric is not too thick I think trimming the flap of your ciggy box would really finish it off? So when you going to do the rest of the dash? Linda x
JustGav
I like that... Clever idea reusing the fabric.

fri3ndly
I like that... Clever idea reusing the fabric. Yep, just need to fit a solar panel to the top of your car and you could become a member of greenpeace Nice idea though, looks good
tbourner
Have you got enough to do the whole car?
JustGav
Yep, just need to fit a solar panel to the top of your car and you could become a member of greenpeace Nice idea though, looks good Ironically, with all the work I do these days on Green-IT strategy and design, I find myself being a lot 'greener' in normal life. Recycling a lot more, considering greener ways of doing things...

twijesiri
Ok finshed putting in back the dash. The only problem i had was with 3 ring bit. the inner bevel did not come out that well but i thought i will leave it for a while and re-do it, as i have plenty of fabric left. Now i'm looking for more bits to cover. I have already done the parcel shelf!! http://http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm122/twijesiri/P110508_1903.jpg

Mike M
Looking good, i would have left the dash rings black or get some chrome ones to break it up a little but looks good all the same. I'd like to see the whole dash done like that but in black leaving the inserts painted black, apparantly its called flocking but I dunno how the finish is achieved.
