Dann
I got asked a strange question which i said straight away it wont work dont be daft then he asked why and to be honest after thinking about it am not sure now. He has a simple car but his intensions are great and is a top lad cannot fault him for his ideas nor his efforts. So will ask you guys the same question. You have the intake on a non turbo / nor supercharged car instead of attaching a filter run the pipe work down to front of car like you would fitting a FMIC. then actually fit a small FMIC to pipe work and then on the other end of FMIC fit your induction filter. would this work in providing super chilled air into a normal car thus adding hp maybe only 1hp. the idea is simple sounds like it might work but not have the preasure of a turbo forcing the air through think might be the stumbling block. what are your thoughts i know it sounds stupid but yet if you think it might work dont know said i would ask Dann
tbourner
From my limited knowledge you need the suction of the forced induction to draw the air through, you don't get something for nothing and the gain of the cooler air will be far outweighed by the loss of air going in!! Answer: the FMIC is too restrictive for standard air, needs to be forced.

The losses you would get from all that piping would offset the gains, no doubt
