MARTIN R
Going to Dublin on Monday for a week with work, anyone got any suggestions of what to see, where to eat and drink etc
sinbad
The Guiness factory tour is supposed to be good. All the other touristy stuff is also worth a look around if you want to kill some time. Drink - pick any pub in or around the centre and enjoy some craic.
Irvy
definitely do the guiness factory - nice sky bar with views over the city...go at sundown for a treat(thats if the sun is shining!)!!...and lean your head against the glass and look down!!! guiness is good too after that its anywhere....lots of places around the templebar area. SkyJawa
Temple Bar - bit pricey but a right laff. Guiness factory was boring IMHO, but the pint in the bar on the roof is well worth it! Other great thing, is public smoking is banned, so you can go to the pub and come home not smelling like an ashtray :)
jot_ie
Hi there The guinness factory tour is pretty ok. they tend not to let us locals in too often though. Free beer, Irish not a good mix. Worth a look though. Temple bar is always lively. If you like italian food, pizzas etc. Milanos in temple bar is good, not too expensive and very nice, they also have a spot in dawson st. Very nice italian top of Dame St., tosca or toscana I think is the name, bit more formal. Shopping here is very expensive..........equal or more than london. Dont know what part of the city you are going to be in, where you will be working. Let me know and I may be able to help you out a bit more. Best regards John

Bill Prawn
Cobblestones Bar - North King Street. If you only visit one real Irish bar make it this one, but get a taxi there and back
MARTIN R
I also have two nights in Belfast so any suggestions would be appreciated
sinbad
Martin, Where abouts you staying. Just stay in the centre there are lots of decent bars/clubs if thats your thang. Botanic Inn is always full and good fun, Irene'n'Nans (not sure if thats the correct spelling) is also always busy and good fun as is the Apartment bar. The new Sugar club has a glass dancefloor if you want to get it on and the Odyssey Complex has a good few bars and clubs to get down in. New places are opening every few months and the crowd (and in places) tends to move around. If grub is your thing then Cayenne, BourBon, Deanes & Roscoff are all excellent. Let me know if you need more help and have a good time.
