MARTIN R
Need a second car for motorway driving and big enough to transport the dog( golden retreiver) as well. Would prefer a diesel. What would you guys buy. I reckon we have around £10 to £15k to spend
Supragal
Are you bothered about economy etc? I'd be thinking estate something, Audi, Volvo or even lesser vectra etc. Spend less and get another Supe
MARTIN R
Suggested another supe to the missus but she wants a car thats economical. I cant understand why you would want anything else
toyotasuprauk
Not sure but 10K to 15K is a lot of money, not exactly cheap run around territory. There is so much to go with that budget. I like the newer shape Lexus GS300 and its way under your budget but its not get the economy of a diesel. Other than that I couldn't say, do a search on Autotrader without putting make and model in and you might get some ideas?
MARTIN R
I reckon she should spend no more than £10k, I can use the rest on my supe!!
Supragal
I think I'd go with the cheap to fix things like Fords and Vauxhalls.

eldudereno
I would go for a 6 month old mondeo tdci zetec s.
Homer
I'd suggest a Volvo T5 too, they're pretty cheap now and provided they have full service history should be very reliable. They're pretty powerful and about as practical as you could ask for! I'm seriously considering one as a 2nd car!
Christian
I'd recommend a T5 also (or even just a V70 2.5 light pressure turbo). Check out the 850 and V70 for sale threads here http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/dc/dcboard.php (V70's are much nicer than 850s IMO)
Christian
Oh I meant to say - some V70s come with dog guard as standard.
