Scott Posted May 20, 2008 Share Posted May 20, 2008 Just use neat antifreeze, (not the overpriced ready mixed) and add enough to bring the total system volume up to strength, it then matters not what water resides in the block still. Trying to remove the block drain plug on a ** year old engine, in situ, is fraught with potential problems. Drain what you can via the rad drain tap first and go from there. Yeah i'm guessing the drain plug is a problem if the car hasn't been serviced properly in the past.
