I'm thinking about doing the TTC mod but i would want to go down the mappable ECU route anyway....

I was thinking about it and it would be nice to do the ETTC mod with the switch so that i could go to and from TTC. Are there any ECU's available that would be able to support this? I'm guessing i would need two maps so that when i switched to TTC i could use 1 map and then turned TTC off i could use another?

Thanks

As i have said before, the proper way to do the TTC mod is to wire open the IACV and the EGCV, and even take out the reed valve, the other ways are fine for a quick test for faulty sequential system, and to see if you like TTC, although any of the quick methods will not give you the full impression, and will also put quite a strain on the pressure tank as its never de pressurised as it would be in normal mode,

Yes there are piggyback and stand alone ECUs that have switchable maps, but they are usually not as simple as just flicking a switch.

Would changing back to sequential not de-pressurise the system?

If it is done by switch, then you are relying on the VSVs and pressure tank to work correctly, personally I'm not convinced of this method, if done by switching the vac hoses around you are totally relying on the pressure tank to function correctly, it sometimes leak slowly, so the actuators gradually close, the third way is to use check valves in the hoses, but you are initially still reliant on the correct function of the pressure tank.

Oh and the way i have it done is semi permanent, as i not only wired open the relevant valves and removed the reed valve, i have also blocked and removed all the pipework.
