Am I right in thinking it revs to 3800 before pulling away?

no i have a 3200 stall and it starts to pull away about 2200 - 2300 rpm its only when you floor it it lets the revs go all the way up to the stall, if you have any kind of performance aspirations (or a single turbo) with an auto, a hi-stall is a must they totally transform the car, i would say if you have a stock or bpu TT this 3800 would be a tad high it would be more suited to single

not really, people seem to think it will only move once it gets to the shall rate but they are similar to stock, have a search ask a few member son here with high stalls paul mac, i remember CJ had one on his old car so did Gamer etc, they will tell you how it will feel.

Do a search for my comments on driving a Supra with a 3,800 stall TC. It's different, but really not a problem. The car still starts moving as soon as you touch the throttle...

I would recommend at least 2x coolers and a lock up switch for motorway driving though.

Cheers,

Brian.
