Sorry to be making many treads

The problem i am having sounds opposite to everyone else.

My heater only blows out HOT air always. even when set to cold with AC on its still HOT!

I have no clue where to start with this and in the few hot days we get (unlike today ) its very annoying!

I realise that this may not be totally helpful but my wife had the same problem on her Skoda (will I get points knocked off for using the wrong kind of 'S' word on this forum?) :)

The problem there was with an electronically controlled valve/vent/gate whose job it was to 'blend' the hot air (from engine) and cold air (from outside or a/c) to to the desired temperature: it was stuck in one position, only allowing in hot air. Maybe something similar here on the Supra?

I had this the other day after fitting a new stereo.

I took the dash back off and traced it to a loose connection round the heater controls. Made sure all the connectors were plugged in, refitted the dash panels and it's been fine since. Don't know if this helps.

as said it definately sounds like the control valve is stuck, have you had the dash off ? maybe unplug all the connections to the heater controls and the heater ecu (cream coloured box marked ABS) on top of the radio/cd player and make sure they all positively plug back in, i had a problem with my heating where it was either like a flame thrower or when you dialed the temp down to the point where it went onto re-circ it was stone cold there was no adjustment inbetween, it turned out to be the heater ecu

Hi guys, I havnt had the dash out as iv just recently got the car.

At the moment the dash is out (for spaying) so when i put it in il be sure to check all the wires.

Q: After taking the dash out i can see there are two connectors at the bottom one goes to the slip control switch and the other nowhere, I dont have a active spoiler button.

My question is were all the cars fitted witht the same wiring loom but without the ECU and buttons?

I don't think any non-UK cars had the wiring for the heated seats (separate loom) and whether all cars had the active spoiler wiring fitted is a moot point (maybe all ABS fitted cars do). Unless an active spoiler was fitted and subsequently removed (maybe your front bumper isn't stock?) I would expect the switch socket to be taped back, out of the way.

I seem to think that there may be some sort of interior temperature sensor on the front dash panel near here (behind a few small slits) - maybe you have found the problem?!
