Cam Covers.

I fitted my cam covers with new gaskets today and one of them cracked. I was tightening the front bolt on the inside, right near the cam gear (see attatched picture).

I fastened the bolts gradually and evenly so i guess i must have over-tightened them. Is there a torque value for the cam cover bolts? Toyota told me they don't get many supras so they don't have access to that sort of info. which i find quite lame.

i think you should have invested in a manual mate it would have just paid for itself, the torque is a virtually hand tight 5.4 nm, the mk4 Supra was never officially serviced by Toyota it was Lexus dealers who did that so they are not making excuses
