rush
hi everyone, jus a quick messg to say how things r going out here in the tsunami hit disaster areas. i know its out of the news at the mo, but the problems out here r still just as bad for the victims, who after nearly 2months after the tsunami hit are only just starting to recive aid. and this is mostly from NGO(non government organisations).ive been in the north east region of sri lanka for 2weeks and have spoken to a lot of victims who all say that they r not getin any help or finance from there government. the same news is comin in from our team in the andoman and nicobar islands who i will b joinin soon. the main jist of this is where have all the millions gone that the kind hearted public have donated, seems to me there are some corrupt gov officials out here who r very rich at the mo, and some serious questions need to b asked. and i would advise everyone to b carefull abwt giivin to the gov in future, your beter off donating direct to NGOs who r out in the field, at least u kno your money is goin direct to the victims.sorry if ive depressd any one by bringin this up but i jus thort people shud b aware of wots goin on out here. (im out here with an indian sikh agency who have a web site at http://www.khalsaaid.org if u want more info, but i dont think the site has been updated coz we r all out in the field.) il update again next week coz its hard to get to a computer out here,so sorry if i dnt reply. take care everyone and hope to see you soon at the next meet. regds RUSH. (ps.paul miami GT, any news on my supra mate.)

I'm real shocked to hear that aid is not getting throught where its most needed the media over here seem to have scaled down the reports from those regions and turned their attention to the Iraq Elections...keep us updated...its good to get THE REAL NEWS...and not the news Governments want us to hear.. Nice to hear of your good work....keep us updated. Si
terribleturner
Hey Rush, hope your well. Like Si im totlly shocked about the aid not getting through. 2 Months and nothing?? That's really taking the piss. I can understand that everyone is doing the best they can and i can belive that the help is stretched thinly, but surely not that thinly?? i remember ages go some bloke from the appeal saying that usually it takes ages to recieve the moneys through the banks, but that the banks were going to put it through faster meaning they could strt buyinh supplies straight away. I know that the majority of gov officals are two faced, but is there not a time when they can stop acting and screwing the public to actually do somthing for the good of mankind?? Sorry, just really P!$$£s me off. Keep up the good work Rush, don't let the man get you down, and look forward to seeing you at the next meet. bens747
Just got back from Thailand and the British Police were at the check-in helping out anyone affected so good to see at they are doing something for a change. Also heard that the Thai police were looting dead bodies of there possesions and were promptly set upon by the local people and arrested. Heard also that the rebuilding of Phuket is going well but more help is needed but agreed, there is alot of corruption still going on .......
