and1c
Yep, this new rule sucks I am seriously thinking about ditching ebay for good, but i do make money on it and get loads of goodies for my cars. Ebay is a dodgy place, but common sense helps!! Ebays new rules dont...... They can now dictate how much you can charge for postage, what postage methods you can use and on some listings you can only accept Paypal!!! the fkn cheek of the cnuts!!! Im with you on that mate Just had a listing (a private plate Im selling) removed TWICE for the following reasons.. 1st time// cash was listed as a payment option?? wtf. Is cash on collection not allowed now or something? 2nd time 10 minutes later// We appreciate that you chose eBay to list your auction-style listing(s). However, we have removed your listing because it breached our Inappropriate Seller Terms policy. We notified members who placed bids on the item that the listing has been canceled. auction no - Private Plate - Why did we remove your listing? Your listing(s) contains the following information: This number plate is for sale elsewhere and as such I reserve the right to remove the plate from sale before the auctions end if it sells elsewhere Any terms that contradict the eBay User Agreement or that inadvertently breach eBay listing policies are not permitted in listings. The eBay User Agreement states that you may not fail to deliver items purchased from you, unless the buyer fails to meet the listing terms, or you cannot authenticate the buyer's identity. So now it seems they are preventing people from using that line above so that sale has to go through on ebay...or be pulled early To add insult to injury, they will not credit the insertion fees for the first two auctions because 'you broke our terms' This is the first time Ive ever had an auction removed. Twice in a row is a record Also, to agree with lew, Ive had massive difficulty ever getting a credit back from ebay. and their 'customer service' is truly diabolical

Cash hasn't been accepted for years and eBay have always said that you should not try circumvent their fee systems by finalising deals outside of eBay. Like Supragirlie, I have done 3-4 thousand eBay transactions and the companies I help out sometimes have 20k+ feedback. There seems to be more dodgy buyers than sellers. hogmaw
I don't understand why anyone uses ebay!! I started using it but the number of stories about people being messed about or ripped off was just a bit too much for me. Got rid of my paypal account etc! The Ebay system is wholly based on trust. Who TF can you trust these days....... H. Pure paranoia. I have over 800 positive feedbacks, zero negative, and that is nothing extraordinary. The thing is you have only been listening to the bad things. For every bad experience, there are 100s if not 1000s of good ones.

What companies do you 'help out'? Are you an ebay Jedi or something? At the end of the day lots of auctions have 'cash on collection' on them. It's an accepted way to trade for most people. Preferable for many in fact. I make a point of not using ebay unless theres no other option. Their rules and restrictions so that they make maximum ££ have gone too far. chris2o2
The best one i had was when selling my Linn Genki cd player . Guy won it and put in a dispute the next day with paypal , said he'd only end the dispute when he receives the goods ! I think the idea is he gets the cd player and keeps the dispute going to get his money back as well . He got a swift **ck off .
marbleapple
What companies do you 'help out'? Are you an ebay Jedi or something? . No i'm just a standard Jedi... even have the light sabre and look like Yoda. I get paid by a few companies who use eBay. I introduce them to systems such as Auctiva and amend their Turbolister html templates. Are you wanting company names? At the end of the day lots of auctions have 'cash on collection' on them.:. Yep and if eBay see the listings they will be cancelled too. It's an accepted way to trade for most people. Preferable for many in fact. .:. Yep and against eBay's rules (they want us all to use Paypal since they own them) I make a point of not using ebay unless theres no other option. Their rules and restrictions so that they make maximum ££ have gone too far. More fool you then. Cutting your nose off to spite your face if you ask me. I do very well off eBay. stevie_b
You sell him your knickers? (Thought you only sold to me!) LOL! Gotta diversify in these tough times! Besides, I didn't promise you exclusive rights did I?
QSC
I think that's fair enough. At the end of the day if a car isn't going for what your expect it to be worth no amount of pixels on a computer screen are going to make you do it. Annoying though. I think you'll find that's actually called breach of contract - pretty unenforceable of course lol
