ChrisR
I am probably going to show my NEWBIE status now, however........ I noticed at the weekend that there is a black circular object directly behind and in line with the accelerator pedal. It looks like when the pedal is floored it would push this object in. I am sure you guys will now what it is therefore could someone please advise. Thanks in advance, Regards Chris
Alex
Kickdown sensor... When you stamp on the throttle it kicks the auto down a gear or two.

ChrisR
The first time i ever drove an Automatic was when i test drove the SUPRA i now own and up to that point new very little about Automatic Gear Boxes. I bought my SUPRA from Charlesworths of Nottingham and they explained everything regarding MANU, Overdrive, L, 2, D but never mentioned the Kickdown sensor. Im not sure why, maybe they didnt know either although they know loads about Jap Cars and in particular the Supra as they import quite a few. It was like finding a new toy, I have pushed the car hard since getting it two months ago but i obvioulsy hadnt floored it all the way which i find remarkable. Anyway thanks to Alex for the knowledge. Regards Chris

Sharpie
I only noticed this last weekend but, have been using it for some time now. You will find that it feels like you have two throttle pressure settings. 1, For normal in town driving and 2, To have some fun on the open roads. Enjoy :flame Dev
