123tom123tom Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 I have just tried doing the above Mod, it did not seem to work at all, I was getting about 0.3 bar boost and a funny noise when i let of the gas like bwooop noise(just say it how it is spelt and that is the noise) what i didnt do is block the vsv off when i took the pipes off would this cause issue... 123tom123tom Posted May 15, 2008 Author Share Posted May 15, 2008 right this is what i have done, i put the yellow arrow pipe onto the the t-piece where the pink arrow is and took pipe that was there totally off...... then at the other end where the green arrow is, i took that pipe off and replaed it with a new longer hose that now goes from the green arrow straight to the lower actuator nipple not the lower vsv... i took that pipe off that goes from lower vsv to actuator... does this make sense Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

123tom123tom Posted May 15, 2008 Author Share Posted May 15, 2008 wheres heckler guide, plus you cant get the pipes you said the wrong way round it is just taking the pipe that comes from the actuator at the top and sticking it on the t-piece where the pink arrow is , then you just discard the other.... edge Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 Where the green arrow is - Should have pipe coming from end of black metal pipes next to bov and it should go to the actuator directly below it. Bit of a fiddle but ok to do. Other bit is ok - from actuator number 6 in pic straight onto T peice Edit - did you actually take the car out for a drive as it wont work until it hits full boost a couple of times. 123tom123tom Posted May 16, 2008 Author Share Posted May 16, 2008 this mod just aint working on my car is there any other factors that would stop it from working.... the car works fine in normal mode if that helps, runs a full 1.2 bar when needed etc, no vacuum leaks, intercooler needs replacing i think, its a bit brittle. any ideas, i have hooked this mod up correctly, for that i am certain...... I seemed to remember having to do that before it worked. incidentally i used the non return valve method on mkiv.com: http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/ttc/ttc.htm i personally didn't like it and went back to how it was designed originally and more importantly setup for. When you have done it do you notice the exhaust note change ? not really noticed the note change that much.... i went on my local bybass and took it above 4k about 6-7 times but it felt like there was no boost at all even though the gauge stated 0.4 - 0.5, when letting off the gas a funny noise would happen like a bwop, that just could be the hks bov not been sucked hard enough and making that noise. ?????????? what next Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
