R154 Gearbox

Hey guys,

As i was talking to TDR about NA-TT upgrade but still running my old 5 speed gearbox, Well ive been told that the power will rip box's apart so he mentioned that the R154 Box from a MKIII will be capable of handling this power.

Do any of you guys know what else i would need to get if i wanted to use this box? Will it fit on the MKIV TT engine?

Cheers

Franko

i think the w58 5 speed will handle the tt transplant well enough...even bpu level as long as the fluids are changed/checked etc....ive done a few now on 5 speeds and they are all going strong still....

:yeahthat: Mine's still running fine but i don't want to give it the kiss of death! lol! :D

The W58 is capable to run te power of a TT lump. When your going single or NA-T than your tranny will become a game of rusian roulette. Some gearboxes are coping with the power, others break down (most of them). It's the torque and way of driving that the box is killing.

If you have a heavy foot and want a reliable tranny than go for the R154. The list of items i'm using is almost done, will post it soon on the forum.
