Guest dangerousandy
Right, I know that I am sick to death of being shafted by this bunch of tw4ts called New Labour and I'm sure I am not the only one.  As Supra owners we are affected by the rising cost of petrol and also some of us by the new VED rates (silversoop!!!). It is all very well ranting on about it on forums like this, but what we really need to do is unite and make a stand so our voices (and exhausts!) are heard loud and clear by those muppets in Westminster. I think that we should organise a massive convoy (maybe get other car clubs to join us?) and drive to London to cause as much disruption as possible (but legally - I suppose ). we should all drive very slow and cause gridlock - just like some lorry drivers have been doing...... what do you all reckon? michael
what do you all reckon? I reckon you'll talk about it for a few days, lots of chests will be puffed out / beaten, ideas will be passed around and then you'll do nothing and the thread will sink into the archives. Good luck! Hi got e-mail which sounds good, boycott esso and bp petrol stations, only buy fuel from independant stations ie asda tesco jet etc. E-mail this idea to 10 other people, they do the same. how quick would that bite the big 2 ? Well the same email has been going round for years now and the "big 2" still report quite nice profits so I presume it'll have feck all effect. Good luck though. Guest Garfy
perhaps rather than speak about it, lets set a date, with route and actions all planned, post it on every forum we know, and also send it to the press, get things really moving, the more press coverage we can create the better, the media will run away with it then, (Tw4ts that they are). colsoop
Are you stepping up to the plate to organise it then ? Make sure you apply for your permit to demonstrate, you don't want to be arrested as a terrorist

michael
Thats the problem....thats exactly the response of a large percentage of the population  Ah but you confuse me with someone who is moaning about the issue and not doing anything about it  I look forward to seeing what you do and the results it gets though. ozz
Hmm, 'you' would have to think through your goals and objectives fully. The danger is all that will happen is everyone will fill up their cars with expensive petrol to drive to London, london would gridlock, increasing petrol usage. Petrol profits not hit, probably even increased a little. The common man would be p1ssed off at the disruption and there could be a negative image on the people trying to help.  Most people just want to get to work and get home, protesting is fine as long as it doesn't affect them. I'm not happy about it, I bought a diesel to supplement my sports car (or rather the missus did and I use it occasionally). Not saying it shouldn't be attempted, 'you' just need to consider what you will actually achieve.
