bodilx6
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1t61UJ_Hsg -I mean, should it be possible to get a more stable 14,7 reading or will it always bounce up and down like that?
steve spedd
I wouldnt be too worried, what spec is your car? is it BPU? or running a single with aftermarket ECU? I think it would be possible to get it running a little better with a mapping session depending on your spec..... other people maybe able to offer a better opinion
DamanC
Yup, mine does that
Tricky-Ricky
Thats quite good, mine will vary a bit more than that, but then my wideband is in the second decat, and also feeds the ECU.

I'm guessing a calibration of the wideband might help maybe a bit, but it seems to be normal. Thx mates
Class One
Yep that's perfectly normal behaviour on idle, it will hunt.
bodilx6
how about going at a steady...say 70mph.. on the freeway. Should it act more steady there or be about the same as in idle?
DamanC
The same. It's the number you get on WOT that is important.

Tricky-Ricky
Thats a little on the weak side at WOT and full boost, it should be more like 11.2-11.5.
bodilx6
Thats a little on the weak side at WOT and full boost, it should be more like 11.2-11.5. Really? What would the difference be running 11s in stead of 12s? -and wouldn't I need a mapping to change that?
kieren1234
Really? What would the difference be running 11s in stead of 12s? -and wouldn't I need a mapping to change that? What ECU do you have, stock with piggy back, standalone?? 11's would be alot safer as 12's at WOT is a little on the lean side.
Tricky-Ricky
I wouldn't run 12.5 AFR without water injection and some very careful mapping, the risk at those AFRs is detonation/meltdown at WOT and full boost:bang:

Only performance changes done to the car is full 3" decat and exhaust along with a walbro. I'll check again, might be a bit less than 12.5 then. Wouldn't a normal BPU run a bit rich normally?
