Matt H Posted May 13, 2008 Share Posted May 13, 2008 A chap at work had a leak in his bathroom (strange i know ) and had to rip some tile off to get behind the bath. As he did a few others fell off. Some of the tiles were quite intricate shapes to fit in with the style of his bathroom, and so i offered to lend him my tile cutter (circular saw jobby) to help he cut the hand of tiles to the correct shapes. He came round and picked her up, then just now he brought the cutter back round, not skin of my nose whatsoever, and; considering he only needed to cut a hand full of tiles (so a smallish job), he only went brought round a bottle wine and a crate of budwieser for me to say thanks!!! :shy: you just dont know what to say, the whole typical phrase " you should'nt have done that" comes out, but it was so true in this instance!! So i did the only thing i could have in the situation............. I ask him if he needed to borrow any other tools!! seriously tho, its so embarrasing when someone thanks you with gifts for something or nothing! anybody else get like that? edge Posted May 13, 2008 Share Posted May 13, 2008 Yeah i helped my neighbour pump her tyres up as the kids had let them down and pulled the screw part from the valve. Found valves on floor next to tyres so fit in and get her fella to do the hard work and pump tyre up with my pump. A few hours go past and she turns up with box of stella in hand. They all have parties and put on the invites 'strictly no gifts'. My uncle then had his 60th and put on his 'strictly gifts or no entry'.
