JustGav
Anybody got a frequency counter which they could use to do something for me...or know someone who has one I know... most people don't carry this kinda stuff...but there has to be a few electronic engineers out there. Thanks Gav
mikeb
You could always get a cheap multimeter that does frequency measurement. Maplins have one for £15, they might even do some cheaper ones. No guarantees on accuracy though, but being digital they ought to be pretty close.

JustGav
Basically what I am after is...... I need to know the frequency of the RPM signal coming off the ECU at 0rpm and at 8000rpm (I'm assuming it is linear) Also Frequency of the speedo... say at 0mph and at 80mph (once again I'm assuming it is linear) Thanks Gav
Supra ST Myster
Its does increase the more you rev and the faster you go but.. cant see how you are going to get a frequency at 0RMP as you wont get one when the car is on with just the ignition.. Plus 8000rpm, cant take the car that high to be able to know what it is. what are you trying to get to do? as i have been playing around with these figures ect for my peak hold feature for the RPM and MPH so i might be able to save you some time. PM me if you like.
