Change of plan now folks......

I've been thinking - with my car being an aerotop, I don't really think I'd use the air-con enough to warrant keeping the system in the car.

So, I'm toying with the idea of getting it all ripped out, and then just swapping the rad over for a new one, either the Golpher unit or the CW unit.

Removing the system will also save weight I suppose, which can only be a good thing!

I have to collect the car tonight, so assuming I can work my ass off every evening between now and saturday I'll still be going to Japfest too! :)

You got me thinking, If my AC ever breaks i think i might rip it all out like, TBH your right last year i used mine for about a month, for what it costs its not worth it unless you plan to sell the car later on, plus it uses 10% extra of your fuel and you should run it for at least 5 minuets every week to keep it in working order.

Car produced 269.7bhp today - It's running rich, and I'm going to point the finger at that damn FSE valve which is being removed as soon as the parts arrive from Toyota. I THINK these are RWHP figures, but don't know the calculation for fly figures for this dyno yet.

Other than that, boost looks like it is all over the place, seems to peak at a max of 12.5psi (0.86bar approx) even though the Blitz BC reports a 1bar boost, AFR's of anywhere between 10 and 11, flattening out at 10 (according to graph)

Not sure what to think yet - I'll try and get the graphs up for people to comment, but I really hope they are RWHP figures!

Paul E PM'd me when he saw my threads apologising for the issues etc, but tbh he said he never had it RR'd anyway.

I have no idea where to look for the problems, but first things first I'm going to have to sort out the knackered air con, leaking radiator, and FPR. Then see how the car is.

Very strange although AFR's are about right so cant see what changing the fse valve will do.

Well from what I've read and know on previous cars the FSE valves can be a right pain - again I don't know what the dyno can read with regards to AFR - if it's anything like the dash gauges bottoming out at 10 then it could be running much richer!

If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it - I think I'm going to have to get the car looked at by ToyotaGT or something to see if anyone can diagnose....

see above Gaz! It's no dyno in particular, just one the garage has where I had the work done. I don't want to bring their name into this at the moment just in case it's me reading things wrong or something. Dyno Dynamics 1200bhp capable rollers.

They are predominantly a VAG specialist - RR'd all of our IHI, big turbo'd SEATs, VW's and Skodas, also looked after 600bhp Skylines and currently finishing off a capri build with 550bhp engine.

They really know their stuff, and I've always taken my car there. Admittedly there are lots of other places that probably know Supra's far better than these, but because I was getting some work completed there I thought I'd get them to stick it on the RR and see what it did.

well some people obviously like them, but it's getting removed pronto anyway. Parts are on back-order from toyota at the moment.

The garage are certainly not Supra specialists, and they have dyno'd a few supras before without any issues. But as said, they are a VAG specialist, so not 100% jap oriented.

So folks, what do you think of the graphs? How do I tell if they are @wheel or @fly figures? I will ask them tomorrow anyway, but just don't know what to think of the results at the moment.

never did receive a pm mate just in case you sent one.

Hmm, wierd - I thought I sent you one. I'll get back to you soon mate, I'm still waiting for the breakdown of the bits I need from the air-con engineer.

Apart from how to operate a rolling road.. either that or you car is messed up! Those dyno plots are all over the place. No supra should have a torque curve like that

Could it not be as simple as the second turbo isnt working correctly?

Good call Jon. Looking again, yes, that could be the cause. I missed the PSI plot and assumed it was a dodgy AFR one, but looking again there is certainly a boost issue if that graph is correct.

Pads, if the 2nd turbo isn't coming online on a WOT run, try letting off the throttle then re-applying to see if it the 2nd turbo kicks back in (classic EGBV actuator problem). Do you have a boost gauge?

Can probably take a look at it this weekend at Japfest if you like?
