New Bunny - Looking to buy supra 3.0 nonturbo 93 - 99reg

To further the advice then, what would people advise as the ideal budget price - if you were looking for basically a well cared for and very good cosmetic condition , non turbo supra (my gixxer is more than enough for my speed demon urges!) with less than 100k on the clock and a few of the nice supra extras (non performance) to add a cherry on the cake? Would an average of £5k - £6k be more realistic?

I'd say £4.5k would be ideal, this for an example click me*

When a new member joins that is potentially a women, there is a some sad individuals that ask for a picture, the Hovis side of things is to prove the picture is for real, as the chances of googling a picture with a pretty lady (that looks real and not from a photshoot or photoshopped) and a loaf of bread is slim.

Indeed.

It's a validation thing, in the past forums have received posts from dreamers / general trolls who pretend to have something they don't. Like a Ferrari or a nice piece of cake. In order to prove they are who they say or have what they say they do people sometimes request that they post a picture of themselves with it but also include something random, like a loaf of bread. A photographic combo that they couldn't just find on a search of the Internet.

Sadly this validation method was adopted and twisted by some rather childish people on here and became an automatic reply to any female poster daft enough to join. Cries of "hovis" could be heard as the pathetic children attempted to collect photos of women rather than simply allowing them to exist as general members on the forum without being hassled by testosterone-fuelled boys.

Luckily the "Hovis" thing was outlawed here by the chap who started the forum so it shouldn't be an issue anymore.

and yet people still seem to bring it back up

and not the ones that used to shout it in the first place might i add, more the ones that used to shout against it

i totaly agree though, the whole hovis thing did get way out of hand. but lets just drop it huh?

Whoopsie - I think you were right with the comment 'better off not knowing' Hiten. I apoligise for making the query, but I was trying my hardest to understand how hovis bread had anything to do with pictures of my gixxer etc and I couldn't resist finding out if it was me being stupid or not ;) Fully understand now - will not say anything about bread again - fear not :)

Hey Supra61 *Wave* I'm in Wallingford - 5-10 mins from didcot if you've never heard of the place, or if you're a bike man, not far from fox's diner / biggest bike club meet place on the berinsfield roundabout.

(Wallingford is a bit of a antique old person town in the middle of the sticks!)

Believe me I am considering the offer - as I've got friends going up anyway along with the Mitsubishi gang (he's a GTO man) and it does look like a cool way to spend saturday (I've only ever been to superbike events before - this would be my first car one!)

But I would feel like a bit of a gatecrasher as I would probably be refused entry if I went up in my current car ;) But if you're a local supra man in the know - then you could definitely be a good friend to have! My GTO expert has been coming with me when I view potential supra buys, but as he keeps saying - he doesn't have any experience with supras.

I shall continue to mull over your tag along offer and see if I can make up my mind on what to do :) xx

Did you do it using links? I'm not sure, as you may need to be a paid up member, but when i post pics i use the "manage attachments" button just below the "reply to thread" window.

HTH :)

Ahh, just sussed out what you did. Don't use the paperclip. Below where you type in your text for the thread there is an "additional options" area. Use the "manage attachments" to keep them neat.

Not sure if you need to be a member though :)

Welcome btw

You should definately tag along to Japfest, just getting to see all those Supras in convoy to the show is going to be an experience and a half. Then when we get there over 100 Supe's on the stand.

You will get to see every colour and bodykit combo available;)

:hello::welcome:

Cool - thanks for the tip!

Now lets try a tidier image test with some pics of my boy then - that first tiny one didn't do him justice :) And he is my pride and joy after all!

I know this is not a suzuki forum - but hey, you wanted pics of the bike :) As soon as I'm supra'd up, there'll be pics of him all over here too - promise! x

Looks like the pics worked :) Cheers for helping me figure it out - the first attempt looked shamefully rubbish.

Amusing you should mention the river in Wallingford, as I live almost next to it and row on it too :) Longest stretch for rowing in nearly the whole of the south, which is why we get the best of the best rowers all coming here wanting to row on it.

I will seriously consider Japfest - I expect my biggest risk will be shelling out on a divine supra I would normally decide I couldn't afford but can't walk away from :) It does sound awesome, so many of my favourite cars all together! Would be a first time in my life experience.
