Axle
Do you use, and why? I hear Silkolene Pro S 10w-50 is well proven in supras from the Pistonheads Oil advice forum.
Dazzi
I've heard Royal Purple is good. Does just what it says on the bottle. Not many use it on here AFAIK
hoff
When you buy, Best place to buy is from opie oils. Guy, the man who knows, is a trader on here and will be able to get some oil for you at japfest if you're going:)

edge
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=56684 I have been using pro s 10/50 for a while now and had no issues but i change it very frequently. I remember a thread that someone using the same oil done a strip down and the wear was very minimal. So proven YES.
Animal
Been using Royal Purple for the last 8 years or so in everything i drive, I can't fault the stuff and now it's cheaper than Mobil 1 it's even better. It really does live up to it's pr hype - fuel economy is better (by about an extra 35 miles per tank). When I ran it in my Supermotard with a horribly clunky gearbox, it smoothed the gear changes out completely, again gave me better mpg, and lasted ages. It does seem to go unnoticed over here for some reason
SilverSoop
I always use a fully synthetic oil...10w/40. Phone oilman, he's pretty good with what oil to use...01209 215164
Axle
Could the boys who use Royal Purple be more specific? Which grade do you use? Sounds promising stuff. But then so does Silkolene Pro S 10w-50.
Animal
Currently I'm using 20W-30 (I think) to see if more of it stayed in the engine and not get burned up, but normally 10W40 does the job. paul mac
right i'm going to break the mould, shock horror Halfords synthetic 5w/40, tested for the last 8 years in my car 3 years @ 1.2 bar BPU, the last 2 years @1.4 bar single turbo, changed at around every 3-4k miles, i cant see the point in paying an inflated price from a small volume manufacturer with a fancy name

DSK
I use Valvoline 5w50 VR1 Racing. (Valvolines oils IMO are far superior to many of the hyped up ones on the market). I do the odd trip to work ( a couple of times a month) but usually driven on the motorways on weekends. Changed every 4,500 as per the service schedule. nigelboyne
all the above oils are fine along with 5k service. i personally use shell ulra racing 10w 60 its hard to get and the only oil approved by ferrari. the shell ultra 5w/40 fully syn flows a little better at both low and high temp.not sure if its a little to light though. the silkolene pro s 10w 50 flows in between both the oils. prob the best oil all round ie casual driving and hard occasional track day.castrol 10w 60 good oil its the heaviest of the mentioned one but recommended by mdivision of bmw
