ManwithSupra
I am getting a aluminium rad but there is no option for it to be an auto rad... So going to need a transmission cooler for my autobox but not sure where to get one for the supe.... can anyone help with a part number to order etc? Perhaps prices as well. Also where is best to fit such a cooler and will i need it to have a fan attached to it as well??
NeoMagic
Surely a run of the mill alloy oil cooler would do the trick, at which point no fan would be required.

DamanC
Cheapest Fluidyne will do you fine. Most are online in the states, they are around $40 + Fittings iirc

paul mac
whenever this topic gets mentioned everyone automatically says Fluidyne, but to be honest i think they are a cheap as chips cooler designed to give a bit of extra cooling for fat RV's lugging a Winabago up a hill in the States, they have poor core density and are difficult to duct due to there shape, i fell for the hype a couple of years back but soon realised it was totally inadequate on anything but an N/A being driven by your gran, you would be much better off doing it right first time with something like this mounted in front of your radiator you should just about get away without a fan http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-19-Row-Oil-Cooler-3-4-UNF_W0QQitemZ300223818630QQihZ020QQcategoryZ72205QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem or go for supra ST meisters UK spec cooler

Also is there a how to on fitting a transmission cooler ?? Fittings and hose (3/8" or 10mm ID) from your local hydraulic specialist. Passenger side's a good place for the cooler, but you'll need to make brackets to mount it. I've not seen a guide, but it's quite straight forward (IMO). a/ mount and duct the cooler b/ connect the hoses (make sure there are no sharp edges fouling the hose which will cut through in due course) c/ check & top up the ATF
