Animal Posted May 13, 2008 Share Posted May 13, 2008 My air con has not worked for the last few months and I've just found how to run the diagnostic test. Anyway, the flashing led's alternated between Fresh Air & Defrost, which according to the list is the Pressure Switch Circuit and the Solar Sensor Circuit. What does this actually mean? Nic Posted May 13, 2008 Share Posted May 13, 2008 The Solar Sensor is the red dome thing on top of the dash, it is basically a light sensor. Next question would be - I've found a mobile specialist that will do the following: - De-gas the present refrigerant - Check all component functions and check pipes for corrosion - Deep vacuum and remove moisture content - Replace pollen filter - Full anti-bacterial & Ozone treatment - Re-gas the system with the correct amount of refrigerant - Digitally leak test - Test the system is fully functional but they are charging £110 + vat is this extortionate or is it likely to be a better service than the £45.00 offer at Kwik-Fit? I'd rather pay more to get it thoroughly checked as it hasn't been looked at for at least 3 years (I know, I know) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've just had a quote from Mr. T of £290, so not as bad as I thought, but your price sounds better. PM is on the way mate.
