Homer
Bl**dy awful film that. For example the first "drag run" they went through something like 15 gear changes, the floor panel unexplainably fell out due to Nitrous oxide being turned on and after 30 seconds they were still only doing 60 mph... the NA engine, fitting an intercooler from inside the engine bay... blah blah. As a car enthusiast I hate films like this. If watching in a movie theater I'd have to stand up on my seat and proclaim "Thats not right!!!" whilst gesticulating wildly at the screen

matt k
The Block in the car is a 2JZ GT, but when they rebuild the car it has a polished TT intake manifold and a spark plug cover from a 2JZ GTE.

ShamelessTT
I like it when they play that film, cos it gives the Supra more exposure!!. Only yesterday i was just driving around town and i could hear the shouts from the kids, its a Supra, Its a Supra. You dont see an MR2 getting that much attention!!! I might take it out today, purely for a posing factor

When i drive past kids, i get headturning looks and the funniest thing was, when i was on the motorway, i was stuck being a car sat in the middle lane doing 60 mph, there was two heads staring out the back of the window looking at my Supra...So i showed them at what it could do, so i dropped her down two gears and went bye bye into the distance lol! I love this car!
tbourner
The Block in the car is a 2JZ GT, but when they rebuild the car it has a polished TT intake manifold and a spark plug cover from a 2JZ GTE. I thought it was a GE not a GT? What is a 2JZ-GT anyway? I remember a kid down the road asking me if my Supra had piston rings!!!

tbourner
There are some hits on google for it, but it's things like people on forums saying the GTE was the twin turbo version of the MKIV and the GT was the single turbo - so not sure whether I should trust replies like that!! Scott
According to that "facts" list the car used in the film was a twin turbo and was tuned to 520bhp.... Sadly, Toyota discontinued the Supra after the 1998 model year. It had terrible sales. The one you see in this movie is owned by the movie racing consultant. This orange '98 Supra has 520 horses under the hood!

SilverSoop
Think they mean the Yank version Ahh, got you... No offence to any american's on here but it's not really susprising is it because obesity was on the rise and they probably couldnt get into the Supra's as they probably didn't have the 'recaro arse' anymore!
