tomgeer
Can anyone give me some advice? I was passing the nearest toyota garage at the weekend (40 miles from home), so thought I'd stop off and buy an oil filter for the next oil change in a couple of months. I gave the car details to the parts guy and he came back through with my filter, or I assumed it was anyway, I paid (£9.97) and drove home. When I got home I looked at the box and noticed that the filter doesn't have 2JZ on the compatablility list, the part number on it is: 90915 - YZZJ3, i've done a search and think they've given me the wrong filter, does anyone have the correct part number for a 1996 J-spec RZ TT oil filter? and can anyone confirm that they have given me the wrong filter? thanks guys
R Black
I recently bought one from MrT, mine is 90915-20004, think mine is for a Lexus but apparently will fit.
tomgeer
thanks, I saw that in the search, is that the right one then or is there one especially for the supra?
simbasupra
As mentioned the lexus one 90915-20004 is slightly bigger, i'm not sure if this improves filtration etc. However does fit. However the Toyota EPC shows two part numbers: 90915-20001 90915-20003 (SUB) Not sure what the (SUB) part number is? Possibly a superseded oil filter? merckx
90915 - YZZJ3 Is it definately a J or could it be a D? It's just that the 90915 - YZZD3 is a more commonly used filter on Toyota and Lexus cars.
SteveR
I bought a couple of oil filters the other week, was asked for my reg, he checked which Supra it was, and gave me part code 90915-YZZJ3. Apparently they have recently updated the part numbers (again?), so hopefully that's right. Someone let me know before I fit one! lol

Pabs
90915-20003 was the one I had, and it's been fitted to the car without issues.
