Ythomit
Hi. I purchased a Supra that had previously been broken into. The immobiliser did its job, but the locks had to be replaced. The owner threw away the old keys before noticing that the new keys did not have the mobiliser activation built in. At least that's what I'm told. I contacted Toyota who told me that they can do nothing beacause it's an import and they cannot obtain the details for the system. Is there any solution to this problem or am I just stuck with an immobiliser that I can't use ? Thanks for any ideas... Lukeyboy2k
If it were me, I'd just pay a professional to rip out the old system and replace with a brand new CAT1 alarm and imobiliser. That way at least you know where you stand and will be covered by your insurer.
Ythomit
I was hoping it wouldn't come to it, but I will do that rather than leave it unprotected Edited May 12, 2008 by Ythomit (see edit history)
