marcAB10
. There is no difference in hairdresser, or hair cut, just the location. This isn't strictly true, yes location can play a big part on prices but a lot of the time you are paying extra money because the hairdressers in the salons other than the barbers are trained better. Basically people who study hairdressing at college are not highly rated in the 'hairdressing world' due to the fact it's not a proper salon experience, they are taught basic styles with little client interaction, where as hairdressers trained 'in house', as in trained by quilified stylists in a salon, known as juniors, learn all the basic styles, fashion styles, and interact with all clients while getting the chance to observe other stylists day in, day out. So.. If you go to the barbers, who generally do not do inhouse training and most of them will be college trained be prepared to get a haircut from a hirdresser who is generally not as 'trained' as a Salon hairdresser. Thus the price difference. Altho I do agree that something like a number 2 all round shouldn't really differ from place to place as you can't go far wrong with that. I used to help run a salon with a friend who was a hairdresser, I also worked in 3 previous salons with the same friend on reception (no jokes, a jobs a job )
