Hello guys,

ive just driven the car for the first time and it was really a rocket.

suddenly the O/D off lights start blinking. (hmm whats this) Never mind i thougt and pushed harder on :) when reaching about 120-140 kmh suddenly the red warning tringle in the middle lights up

and the ecu light on the right (the one shaped like some diagram).

pulling over and turning the engine off fixed this since it all went away. (easy fix).

of course it came back.

since the previuos owner had a lot of gadgets screwed off the centerboard i took a look on the speed sensor wire by the warningligth button. nothing touched there.

so i went down to the ecu and there had been some action going on there!!!

i put a picture and you can look for yourselfs.

can anyone help me out to get rid of this problem.

i think its safe to say the car has been delimited and then some in japan but now none of these things are left but the turbotimer.

Help pls

Patrik

So you've checked your No.1 speed sensor wire and its fine?

The pink wire in your pic seems to have several 'scotch locks' along the wire, one of them may have gone through too far and could be causing the problem (hence its better to solder wires than use scotch locks).

^ thats all I have to offer - good luck finding the cause.

hello guys as you can see there are a lot of red bumps/locks on the wire.

i have now clipped it and removed all the locks.

but still this irritating code 42 comes back

the O/D light flashes when it feels like and can do this before the warning lights go on (dont know if they are relateded?).

but the thing i want gone is the varning triangle!

can you help me with some fresh ideas to solve this problem?
