They stopped making them in Japan in 2002. It was 1996 in the UK production stopped.

 

I have actually seen a few like this, the trader puts the year of import in to make it seem newer, as opposed to the year of manufacture.

that often comes up like that that on auto trader adds for some reason, think it's the format they have to input it in

The way autotrader works when you register a car, it looks at the registration date and puts that in...so a car that was imported and registered in the UK in 2005 will come up as a 2005 car.

 

However you can then phone Autotrader up and get them to amend it to the year of manufacture. But that a) takes more common sense than most advertisers seem to be blessed with and b) would involve some honesty.

Lol if you look at the picture closely its an M plate so its most likely a late 94 or early 95, think its just a type error.
