Guest dazzer979
i have had my car parked up over the last 4 months over the lovely winter. Gone to start it today battery was dead as expected so i got it running, i was also low on fuel anyways took it to my local mot station and the said it was running really rich and failed emmisions and when say running rich i mean white smoke coming out of the exhaust not steam but the smell of fuel. now i have decated one part of my exhaust, and also about 7 months ago i replaced my spark plugs and i noticed someone had broken the coil packs plugs and repaired them. now with all this info what direction do i go in??? many thanks daz
Nic
When was the oxygen sensor last changed if ever? The O2 sensor is the most likely reason it is running rich. Also fit some new coil pack connectors, they are not expensive.
Chris Wilson
White smoke? Funny smell? Sure you haven't topped up with diesel?
Dash Rendar
Surely nobody would do a thing like that.
