Multics
Getting really tired of the release bearing rattling now and as I'm planning to go NA-TT soon, I thought it's time to change the clutch and this effing bearing. Which clutch would you recommend? OEM?

Which clutch would you recommend? OEM? Your release bearing?? Remember that post i put up regarding a rattling gearbox, what does your release bearing sound like when it rattles?? Mine is like, i suppose the only way i can describe it is like a rollercoaster climbing...its like a cha-cha-cha-cha-cha-cha noise... Which clutch would you recommend? OEM? Will you convert NA to T or swap engine to TT one? If first option - go for TRD NA clutch, it will hold NA-T powers, if you are going to put TT engine - go for TT OEM clutch

Which clutch would you recommend? OEM? Why dont you go with a RPS clutch from klysett on the forum?? There's loads of choice which clutch you can have... Thats what im going to do because im now convinced my release bearing is rattling!

Thats what im going to do because im now convinced my release bearing is rattling! I've been looking at those as well, it's a good option. It's quite difficult to describe the rattling noise, I might as well record it and post it here.
Nic
Why dont you go with a RPS clutch from klysett on the forum?? Complete overkill on an NA, no reason to fit anything other than stock clutch, it is more than up to the job and will be the quietest and smoothest option. Multics
Complete overkill on an NA, no reason to fit anything other than stock clutch, it is more than up to the job. The thing Nic is that I will eventually go NA-TT (that is if my NA doesn't sell to get a proper TT). So I need a clutch that can hold TT BPU power. Does the TT OEM clutch fit in the NA housing? Nic
Does the TT OEM clutch fit in the NA housing? No. You may want to consider fitting a TRD clutch housing and clutch discs in that case.

My n/a made the exact same noise... Although i am led to believe, TT release bearing rattle's, are different...
SilverSoop
Hmmz, that sounds more like this: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=148326 No Lebsteif, my gearbox was repaired with no faulte except a rattling from somewhere which the technicians could not diagnose. I then took the car to James at Toyota GT and within seconds, diagnosed it as a release bearing rattle...
