JustGav
Down the side of the battery nearest the middle of the car. It may not LOOK as if it's blown apart, but serious tugging and messing may well show the rubber to vertical plastic pipe union is no longer fully intact. Yup, lost that one a few times, you can't always see it unless you give it a bit of shake to see. Remember driving a UK and it overboosted to 1.5bar and blew the pipe off... First reaction was 'OMFG!!!!', then realized what happened and it was quickly sorted, but being MAF based it was chucking out black smoke. Bryan_Jones
take my advise this happen to me 2 weeks ago Yeah. I'll look into into it. I'm going to give it a good inspection. Trouble is I'm hoping not to have to take it to a garage otherwise I'll need a tow. Don't really want to drive it like this to be honest. Start by reading your error codes and report back. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35920 Cheers. I'll have a look here for the error codes. Bryan_Jones
The nearest thing to my lights is the ignition signal. Maybe it is the ignitor pack. Anyone know a good place to get one? Is it worth getting it new or will a second hand one be ok?

Bryan_Jones
Oh I see, so your Supra isn't fixed yet then. The only other things that concerns me is that it seems to cut out when the 1st turbo kicks in. I managed when pressing very lightly on the accelerator to get nearly 3,500 rpm before the engine cutting out. When press firmly it cuts out almost immediately. Could it mean there is something up with part of the car that controls the turbos? I guess I don't want to splash out a load of cash to then find it isn't the problem. Anyone got any more understanding on the beeps I got from the system management?

Bryan_Jones
So was your Supra doing the same thing with the accelerator? dropping just before the turbo? If it was then I'm just going to bite the bullet and get an ignitor pack ordered tomorrow.

Bryan_Jones
Ok. Well lets hope that's the case. I'm unable to drive it. It just keeps cutting the power all the time and idles roughly. So I'm having to walk everywhere
Bryan_Jones
Well having a closer look it's definately not the intercooler pipe. So as my car had been misfiring on the 2nd turbo I thought it could have something to do with the spark plugs. I've just got some Denso Irudium IK22's. I thought I'd check the coilpacks and noticed that there seems to be a bit of a dodgy connection on one of them. This could quite possibily be the problem. I'm going to have another look tomorrow. Let hope that's it.
SteveR
If it is, you'll need this.
Bryan_Jones
That is a great help! 2 of the white plastic bits have broken into pieces. I noticed them lying at the bottom by the spark plugs. The others may be helped by refurbishing them before they go too.

Bryan_Jones
All fixed. :D:D:D It was just a bad connection on the coilpack causing a misfire. I've fixed it for the moment, but I'm going to order some new connectors. I'm sooooo glad it wasn't something serious in the end.
