Now I have a serious problem!!

Down the side of the battery nearest the middle of the car. It may not LOOK as if it's blown apart, but serious tugging and messing may well show the rubber to vertical plastic pipe union is no longer fully intact.

Yup, lost that one a few times, you can't always see it unless you give it a bit of shake to see. Remember driving a UK and it overboosted to 1.5bar and blew the pipe off... First reaction was 'OMFG!!!!', then realized what happened and it was quickly sorted, but being MAF based it was chucking out black smoke.

take my advise this happen to me 2 weeks ago

Yeah. I'll look into into it. I'm going to give it a good inspection. Trouble is I'm hoping not to have to take it to a garage otherwise I'll need a tow. Don't really want to drive it like this to be honest. :(

Start by reading your error codes and report back.

Cheers. I'll have a look here for the error codes.

The nearest thing to my lights is the ignition signal. Maybe it is the ignitor pack. Anyone know a good place to get one? Is it worth getting it new or will a second hand one be ok?

its your ignitor pack mate, dont nuy second hand one yet (you never know they might send you fualty one) and then you would be no wiser..

borrow one from a local member takes 5 minutes to test..

Contact, Steve Manley 01865291300, he supplies oem Toyota and good discounts to club members.

I'd be there if I wasn't in Liverpool 'til next week bud. :( Maybe PM MRX, Juanchan, wiggy, B'have all in the general area mate.

Oh I see, so your Supra isn't fixed yet then.

The only other things that concerns me is that it seems to cut out when the 1st turbo kicks in. I managed when pressing very lightly on the accelerator to get nearly 3,500 rpm before the engine cutting out. When press firmly it cuts out almost immediately.

Could it mean there is something up with part of the car that controls the turbos?

I guess I don't want to splash out a load of cash to then find it isn't the problem. :innocent:

Anyone got any more understanding on the beeps I got from the system management? :search:

So was your Supra doing the same thing with the accelerator? dropping just before the turbo?

If it was then I'm just going to bite the bullet and get an ignitor pack ordered tomorrow.

we import and sell supras it was a customers car the problem occured on him after he picked it up and we got a new ignitor fitted and it was sorted he got the ignition signal ecu error code..he said car would not rev past 2500rpm.and felt very sluggish ...

with new ignitor the car runs like a dream

Well having a closer look it's definately not the intercooler pipe. So as my car had been misfiring on the 2nd turbo I thought it could have something to do with the spark plugs. I've just got some Denso Irudium IK22's. I thought I'd check the coilpacks and noticed that there seems to be a bit of a dodgy connection on one of them. This could quite possibily be the problem. I'm going to have another look tomorrow. Let hope that's it.
