QSC
Having read up on how to check your narrowband O2 sensor reading, I am now confused as to why it is reading 0.03 volts from the OX1 pin on the diagnostic panel, when the How To article says it should be approx 0.7 - can anyone shed any light on this ? Testing the battery shows the correct 14.3 volts.
Ian C
The sensor is bust? Are you experiencing poor fuel economy and failing emissions tests? -Ian
QSC
Ah - welcome to the grandmaster of things O2 related - I am experiencing rather poor fuel economy, but, alas, I go to one of those friendly garages that politely ignores the emissions test - overnight soak in lemon commencing anyway -
Ian C
It sounds like it's reading no signal at all rather than just a low one, so it might be a terminal sensor or it might be a wiring issue, but the lemon soak move is a very good cheap first stab at fixing it Don't ignore emissions tests, they can be very handy at diagnosing problems Just don't submit the results to the red tape brigade -Ian
