Going to Belfast, do I need Euros?

I spend a lot of time over there as my gf is Northern Irish. As Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, they are still sterling. Only the Republic of Ireland is using the euro. Your english notes will be accepted over there (no problem) their notes are different, but exactly the same currency - just don't try to spend them over here, shops don't normally accept them

I am going to Belfast either Friday or Saturday. Do I need to take Euros or are they happy with English pounds? Buying a puppy, so will clear the purchase costs with the vendor, but for a hotel, bars, loose women??? Thanks.

LOL Chris The amount of money I spent with ya. :p

Was going to fly out Saturday AM, my pal now thinks a night on the town sounds good, so thinking of Friday afternoon and a stop over instead. Trouble is, he apparently finds some bar / bint / bordello he likes, then claims "the weathers coming in" so he can stay there for days. A seven week old pup under one arm and some inebriated pilot with wanderlust isn't necessarily my idea of a good time :)

Quite some years since I've been to 'Norn Iron' The Crown bar in Belfast (oposite the europa hotel) is worth a visit and the Antrim coast and giants causway very scenic.

Enjoy your trip

Roy

PS Oh and GBP is the local currency

PPS Do not talk about Polotics, Religion or the Toubles. DAMHIK:)
