heckler
sounds like an air lock. Bleed the PAS sytem, that should keep it quiet.

SimonT
My power steering now makes the noise for an even longer period of time and it doesnt seem to stop until i have driven it for about 30 mins!! Is this still an air lock problem or are the barings knackered in the pump and does it need changing as the noise is quite loud??!! Any advice would be very much appreciated!! Scooter
Please click here......and check its not this pulley failing.......
SimonT
The pulleys seem fine, however, the fluid is a little low it seems but i dont think that will cure it completely as its not that low!! How hard are the PAS systems to bleed??? And what PAS fluid is best for them??
Chris Wilson
Try a new PAS fluid reservoir, the nylon gauze in the bottom that filters the oil is probably blocked with sediment, the thinner, hot oil passes more freel, the cold, more viscous oil makes the pump sweat and whine. Could also be drawing air form a hardened O ring on the suction side, which softens and swells as the oil heats up.
