from the stuff I have seen go past a job lot tends to get better prices but it usually has a 'special' item in it like a Harry Potter castle or a star wars droid set.

Figures also get a lot of attention especially if collectable.

I used to have the helecopter.

Me too, did it have a little winch on it too?

I have lots of Lego somewhere in the house, one of these days I'll get it out and have a play, obviously I'll leave a piece on the carpet to be stood on later too ;)

I've got lots of technic from years ago. I have kept it as i'm very nostalgic. I have loads of stuff from my younger years. Got around 40 consoles/computers etc too.

Used to have loads of the really old lego, as in the actual blocks (can't see the pics to see if its the same) don't have any figures. Think it was either given away or thrown away.

Can we have a little play pen at japfest so we can sit there and make things from lego and technic? Maybe best creation gets a pirze!

If we all bring our own lego, we could try and make a life size supra! That would be cool!! :D

I've got a whole stack of lego technical at home in the loft from when I was younger. I had the fully working race car with the moving 'square' pistons and the reclining seats... Pity I don't have the plans anymore.

In fact, does anybody know where you can get some of the classic plans from when lego used to be lego and not this odd shaped stuff they have these days.

I had that one too! Unfortunatley I've no idea where it is (possibly in my parents' loft)

I too should have all manuals and paperwork for all of my lego models... they were filed away (somewhere lol)

Surely they'll be online somewhere - if not shouldn't be too hard for a grown person to work out how to make it from pictures ;)

EDIT: perhaps I should remove that comment - looking at pictures it is harder than I thought! lol

I have the red car in it's box with instructions, could probably photocopy / scan them for you JustGav but I suspect they will be online somewhere already.

Yes, mine's also in the box with instructions. Its probably the only possession I've got that's still as new. It could be worth quite a bit, if no one else had theirs as well!

(I seem to be quoting you quite a lot today. Don't worry, I'm not stalking you. Yet. :))
