bigcol Posted May 6, 2008 Share Posted May 6, 2008 Just had the best "scam" letter yet, it was entitled "the lords chosen one" take a look its quite funny, plus i never new that the netherlands was big on cocoa trading:D PLUS god himself gave my details out (so much for data protection) My Dear belove one, Greetings to you in the most wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ His richest blessings shall be upon you forever.My dear,I sincerely apologize for not taking your permission before contacting you, but the lord came to me in a dream and gave me your email address, while also asking you to pardon my poor English, as I am half educated. It is rather unfortunate that I am writing this mail to you in deep tears while lying on a hospital bed due to chronic cancer of the lungs which has also affected my brain, from all indication my conditions is really deteriorating and it is quite obvious that, according to my doctors they have advised me that i may not live for the next two months, this is because the cancer stage has gotten to a very bad stage. So my dear, I crave your indulgence to read this mail as God has directed me to choose you for this honorable mission of God And i believe With Love And Trust, You Can Handle it in Jeuse Amen. My name is Mrs. Latitia Hiatt, and I am 58 years old from Netherlands, I was brought up in a small village in Netherlands and grew up as a petty trader until I met my husband who was a Cocoa Trader. And we got married and lived happily together for twenty years without a child and we never blamed God for that, then three years ago i lost my husband in a fatal motor accident on his trade business, but before his death were Truely Christians and since his death I decided not to re-marry, cause he his death was the beginning of my unfortunate ordeal.so I sold all my inherited belongings and deposited all the sum of $8.5 million dollars with a Security Company. Presently, this money is still with them and the management just wrote me as the true owner to come forward to receive the money for keeping it so long or rather issue a letter of authorization to somebody to receive it on my behalf since I can not come over because of my illness or they get it confisticated, Presently, I'm with my laptop in a hospital where I have been undergoing treatment for cancer of the lungs. I have since lost my ability to talk and my doctors have told me that I have only a few months to live, It is my last wish to see that this money is invested to any organization of your choice and distributed each year among the charity organization, the poor and the motherless babies home where I come from, and I want you a God fearing person to use this money to fund help some of the churches, orphanages and widows. I took this decision, before I rest in peace because my time will soon be up, As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Security Company. I will also issue you a letter of authority that will prove you as the new beneficiary of my fund. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated herein. I've got a junk@.... email address which my domain spam filters forwards towards... I made the mistake of doing the monthly empty today...3000 odd junk emails in total in a month!!!
