Jamesy
i think i read cambelt is due at 72k....... if its not been done there is NO WAY i'll bother!
michael
An example of prices for you: http://www.motor-mech.co.uk/fiat_coupe_20_valve_turbo.htm Apparently these are one of the places that agree with me and leave the engine in the car to change the cambelt. So £360 for a fitted cambelt if you join the Coupe club.

(i am swaying towards the Supra again!)

G-NEMIE
my mate had one --- Quick engine out for cambelt change as mentioned cost him £500 but the car was stolen from him and was used in approx 3 building society robberies.

Jamesy
can any1 advise on rough price for the Supra as mentioned at top of this page?
JamesC
I had one before my N/A Supra. If your after something realiable go for the Supra, if your after something a bit quicker go for the Fiat Coupe. I had a few common isses with mine: manifold cracked, new wishbones, trackrod ends, clutch, exhaust fell off etc. But you can get a chip for around £50 that takes it up to around 250-260bhp. I had one fitted on mine, took it to a rolling road and the boost got turned down to less than standard because it was running dangerously lean (this was before i had the manifold done though so it could have caused inaccurate reading). Apart from all that i still liked it! I prefer the look of a nice Supra though and the Supras handle better http://homepage.ntlworld.com/alan.calverley1/James/Image/Fiat/fronside.jpg

Jamesy
This is the Supra... (what is the sticky out bit behind the wheel arch, is that part of an aftermarket back bumper - not overly keen on that - prefer the smoother look)
marc_p
Well Keancy went from one of these to an N/A supe and I don't believe she is unhappy with her choice, but your best speaking to her about it.
michael
this is the one: http://images.pistonheads.com/aimg/485/485275-3.jpg I wouldn't buy that just because the house looks run down, doesn't seem to be someone who takes much pride in things. The black Supra looks a lot nicer, just a shame it's got the crappy engine in it

ShamelessTT
this is the one: http://images.pistonheads.com/aimg/485/485275-3.jpg That car will be covered in tons of marks, parked like it is, looks like people can walk by too. Run a mile i say, u want someone whos outwardly got the £££ to service and look after a car like that, by the looks of the house i think not. JamieP
The supra looks much nicer but them 20v turbo fiats are fast, mate brought one for £1200 iirc and it does shift:)
Jamesy
thats the other thing that one is up for £3k but i've seen some for sub £1500. any idea what the back bumper thing is on the supra? can it be changed - those bits sticking out?? Todd
But you can get a chip for around £50 that takes it up to around 250-260bhp. £38 now Quite liked my 20V but at the end of the day it's Fiat build quality and reliability. If it's not about speed then I'd go for a manual N/A.

Jamesy
Looks like its part of the rear bumper to me. oh really? so the back bumper goes all the way around to the wheel arch on the lower half of that bit? so a new rear bumper would fix this!?!?! Scooter
oh really? so the back bumper goes all the way around to the wheel arch on the lower half of that bit? so a new rear bumper would fix this!?!?! IMO if you don't like the bumper then don't buy this particular car..... .........your on a budget (aren't we all) and faffing around changing the car you've just bought will cost £'s....... If you are after a NA and are not bothered about it being an auto you should have loads of choice?
