Hi guys

any1 got any experience they can share with me on this car?

I am toying with either this or a Supra N/a (obviously on this site the majority will say the Supe), but i just wondered if any1 can tell me any pros and cons of the Fiat?

I drove one years ago and was very impressed with the styling and speed..

i am torn between them on performance/economy etc

many thanx! :D

The 20v T is a fast car. The build quality isn't brilliant but the drive is good. The handling isn't bad at stock but understeer becomes a problem when tuned.

There is also an air of exclusivity about them IMO, mainly because of the nice interiors.

My mate had one and he blew the engine up in the end by running it at 1.5 bar on a stock engine lol.

Our MD has one of these. He's had it for a good few years now, and its been a very reliable car for him, but servicing them can be a right pain (cambelt change is an engine out job).

He's also on fccuk as yellafella. He may even answer some of your queries if you ask him nicely :)

Isn't that a bit of a dealership myth these days? I thought it was possible, but annoying, to do it in situ?

They drink oil though don't they?

The last time (well, only time), that he'd had the cambelt changed, the 'specialist' garage (in Essex somewhere) had to drop the engine down to be able to do the job.

I think it cost him around £1k to have that service done!

I'm not sure about their oil consumption, but its been no trouble for him in the 4 years he's had it. Its not as fast as I'd been led to believe though. Modifying them is easy enough to do. Well according to him it is :)

thing is i love the Supe (well i loved my TT)

am i going to be disappointed with an N/a - this one does look nice, auto in black (gold wheels unfortunately!!)

but the Fiat is something a bit different - its the LE one with the bodykit etc and recarro leather interior.
