terribleturner
It's one year to the day that i was on my way to work on my bike when some T£*t pulled out on my, sending me flying through his rear windscreen and killing my bike. Guess it may take yet another year. On the plus i guess i have got my medical examination tomorrow. What on earth do they expect to find now?? Although i am gonna play my back and neck up . Oh and yesterday they asked for my V5, MOT, Reciept and Service history. Why has it taken this long to ask for these things?? God knows AND WHERE'S MY MONEY!! Supragal
Court cases mate...nightmare. The only one I've been involved in went on for 4 years or so, it so happened that I was summonds to the royal court of justice on the exact dates I had my finals at uni HOW did they manage to schedue it for the same dates?! and they dredge up everything, sickening, it's actually laughable what they try and get out of it on. terawua
James, A little professional comment - as for the medical being tomorrow.... this is not always a bad thing. If you can be shown to still have problems or injuries a year down the line, then the chronicity of the problem should carry more weight in terms of any settlement. Obviously each case is different, but pain is a very subjective problem, in that if a patient says they have it, then who can argue with them... Best of luck with the case though.... Sharpie
I had a bus run into the back of me a few years back while waiting to turn - clearly not my fault, he was speeding and the skid marks were a good length - 18 months it took all in all
Tigger
It took 3 years for my case to go through, (have to claim within 3 years, I started proceedings just under a year after my accident). It went to court exactly 3 years from accident, but my solicitor went on holiday so the whole thing got dropped. Even though I had a medical examination confirming all injuries and been under going physio, and had major surgery, (still have to physio 6 years on every now and then). I was up for a lot in compensation but got nothing in the end due to the bloody solicitor going on holiday. The only good thing that came out of it I had no fees to pay, as my barrister paid them for me. Any good luck with your case and just go careful on what you say in you medical, they can find things out.
toyotasuprauk
Insurance companies are sick! It just shouldn't take this long for these things to be resolved people don't want to have to go over it again 3 years later.
BigRoy
If they say your likely to regain your normal mobility within 12 months following your injuries, you should get your offer letter within 4 months from consultation.
