Guigsy
i did my art disertation for A-Level about phot/super realism. very impressive stuff. Saw some of it in NY and its Here are a few of the pictures i saw when i went to do research. I spent a week or so going around art galleries looking at them. One of them was in an obscure gallery up some tower block and it wasn't on display but they took me off into a closed section to have a look at it. Lots of info here The main guys works i saw were Richard Estes, Ralph Goings and Chuck Close. Chuck Close (i think he is still alive) Does pictures that are a good 10-14 foot tall. Even though his is disabled he still makes pictures with various methods. Though if i remember correctly his pictures are on a massive frame that spins arround 365 deg and he paints with the brushes strapped to his arms as he cant grip with his fingers. This is one of his (it might even be a self portrait im not sure.) http://1970s.wikispaces.com/space/showimage/photo_portait.jpg and another this one is good as you can see even close up its very detailed. Ralph Goings Richard Estes (the most impressive imo)
