SilverMachine
Heckler, nice job on your interior lights! I'm in the process of sorting mine out but what size bulbs are for the control panel facia (heater ets), BA9's? What about the clocks? Cheers, Gaz

heckler
Aha, I see. Where they all the same size/model? What sort of cost? Gaz Its a mixture of 3mm and 5mm LED's I think looking at around £30 for the LED's, plus resistors... You solder them on.

Thanks Heckler, I'll compare prices between Maplin and Trevor's link. I've put this off for too long now, so I need to get on board and get it sorted! SilverMachine
...does it include the dials... Hi, there was a group buy on here a while ago on new dials. Email 'PaulE' about some El-Glo dials, very nice. About £130.00 Dials come with a converter that changes the glow from Blue to Green, depending on your mood. Hope this helps. terawua
I have the blue dials... very nice.... if you get the uprated inverter, it also has the correct connection to wire up a piece of eletroluminescent wire which you can buy from maplin or PC world, and then you can dim the whole lot.... very nice. The maplin LED's are the 3mm blue... NOT the blue tint (check the order codes) as these look cack - imagine my seething fury when after I had spent about 3 hours soldering to find that my LED's were a mixture of the plain blue and the tint.. its 2 years on and I still haven't fixed it.... oh and by the way.. I have a set of blue tint LED's for sale ;-)
terawua
sorry I should have pointed out that you run the wire through the Air conditioning unit to illuminate it The LED's are for the indicator LED's on the Air coniditioning unit.... Give us a clue...how many do i need? Cheers Gaz
terawua
SilverMachine... I dont have pics.. but can do some..... will post them tonight.. and you will see which colour your prefer as they are right side by side in my install (which I need to change as I already mentioned) Sorry the for sale thing was a little tongue in cheek. I dont recommend getting the tints. I will just be using them to exchange for the correct ones - Mapling said I should have tested them before put them in as they were not able to accept them once the legs were cut ont he LED's. If you want instructions on parts and fitting you can get them off Pete Betts personal website (see his profile on here - electronics guru) cheers James
MrAngry
For the heater controls you need 16 x 3mm Blue LED's 1 x 6v2 diode or for dimmer lights 1 x 5v6 diode 7 x 390R resistors to match the brightness of all the LED's as the amber and green use different currents. The resistors aren't required if you don't mind variation in the brightness from what where the old green and amber LED's
