Removing airbag from steering wheel centre

Hi Rob

Just to keep you company ;)

I'm just awaiting delivery of a nearly new steering wheel, and I'd also like to know how to get it all off, if at all possible!

I've got an airbag wheel like yours, but don't want to mess the whole thing up trying to get it off to replace it.

Would you be able to post what you did as a procedural guide for me, as I haven't got a clue, please?

I have done a search, but the decent guide on another thread has now disappeared, so if you were able to do it simply, then I'd appreciate it muchly. :)

That info would be good yes, plus did the wheel centre 'cover' come off easily, or are there lots of screws to undo?

I see on another photoset, that I would need torx screw drivers etc?

I attached a piccie to post one with red rings around the 4 bolts. The facia comes away with 2 Torx type bolts into the wheel itself, one either side, if you remove the covers access is easy.

If you get stuck PM me if you like!

How's she coming along Rob? BTW I have both your cams now so will get them out to you next week.

Just waiting for the cams sir :)

And the brakes, clutch, tyres and mapping, MOT tax and insurance and and and :p
