jaymdee
I've got an Integrale, which I'm thinking of selling here to make way for a car which I can use for trackdays and won't be too worried about stone chips, a few dings here and there etc and which will be easy to repair. Ideally looking to spend about £2k so I can insure TPFT for the road and not worry about track insurance. Am interested in your views. I've thought about keeping the Integrale as a track car, but TBH I feel that it's too 'fragile' and that chucking around tracks will kill it, which would be a shame. Imprezas are 10 a penny, so new body panels should be readly available, but don't know much about them reliability wise. I really like Mitsi Evo's (any) but again, know less than I do for Imprezas. Or thinking BMW 328i or MR2 Turbo (although really want a 4 seater) Help!!
grahamc
I have decided on a lotus 7 style car for the track...
JamieP
For a 2k budget id say the fiat coupe 20v may be worth a look (not sure if it would be reliable) my mate brought one for £1200 and it goes like a rocket. I have decided on a lotus 7 style car for the track... Not for 2k though;)

jaymdee
4wd will eat tyres. MR2 if you have talent, 328i if you don't. Definately the latter I'm afraid. Enjoyed Marham loads and want to get better. Thought that 4WD may be best to start off then progress to RWD when I was more used to the whole thing. Also, I just like the whole 4WD rally car thing anyway (hence the Integrale) Maybe a Celica GT4 WRC then
Chris Wilson
For 2k I can only think of an MX5, they may not be very fast but they're a dream to drive with a bit of suspension stuff. All the others will be troublesome, unless you get lucky with a BMW and can still afford the very necessary brake upgrades. To be honest it's not a realistic budget, and pretty insignificant in the grand scale of entry fees, tyres, brakes and fuel costs, plus incidentals. I'd try and get 5K together.
